Greenway Ski Days Heat Up the Winter
By: Jen Dame, WDAZ
Thanks in part to the groundhogs yesterday we are looking at at least six more weeks of winter, that being said, many are looking for ways to escape the cabin fever.
The Grand Forks Parks Department is hoping to whitewash away those winter blues with some fun!
Greenway Ski Days are just around the corner. The two days of festivities kick off with a candle light Ski event on Friday, February 5.
"I think the fact that we need opportunities for families to get out in the winter and the fact that we have the parks and the facilities that we might as well use them. We are here to offer that opportunity as a park District and so here it is and we're enjoying it," says Lynne Roche, Grand Forks Parks District.
The event is free and open to the public.
Feeling really adventurous? You can create your own cardboard sled to compete in the cardboard sled races.
