Caution Urged to Prevent Accidents as Beet Season Approaches

Expect traffic on local roads and highways to be dramatically busier as the beet harvest kicks into full gear. An accident involving a beet truck and car near Glyndon today is another reminder to all of us that adjustments need to be made during the annual harvest.

Expect traffic on local roads and highways to be dramatically busier as the beet harvest kicks into full gear. An accident involving a beet truck and car near Glyndon today is another reminder to all of us that adjustments need to be made during the annual harvest.

No one was injured in today's accident after a car rolled trying to avoid the beet truck. At the height of harvest there are 35,000 of beets on the road in a 24-hour period in Crystal Sugar's system. Kevin Wallevand has more.
