Grand Forks sets September warmth record
September breaks a over 100 year old record for average daily temperatures.
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) - The month that just ended was the
warmest on record in Grand Forks.
National Weather Service data show that the average daily
temperature at the University of North Dakota reporting site was
64.2 degrees. That was 1.6 degrees higher than the previous record
of 62.6 degrees set in 1906.
The weather records for UND's reporting site go back to 1885.
