Longtime Grand Forks Police Lieutenant Roger Pohlman will be leaving the department after 16 years.
Lieutenant Pohlman has accepted a position as the Chief of Police for the City of Red Wing, Minnesota. Pohlman says he remembers his first major event on the job in Grand Forks - rescuing people in Riverside park during the flood of '97. He says he's thankful for the new opportunity but will always keep Grand Forks and the experiences he's had close to his heart. Lt. Pohlman's last day at the Police Department is this Friday.
