Residents will have three opportunities this week to hear the powerful story of Rachel Scott, the first victim of the Columbine High School shootings.
Rachel's Challenge will be held at the Thompson High School October 9th, Red River High School October 10th and the Chester Fritz Auditorium October 11th. All sessions are the same and free of charge.
Rachel's Challenge is a presentation that equips students and adults to stand up to bullying and combat feelings of isolation and hopelessness by creating a culture of kindness and compassion. The programs are based on the writings and life of 17-year-old Rachel Scott. Rachel's Challenge is being brought to the community by the Safer Tomorrows project with the hope that it will start a chain reaction creating a safer environment for all. Due to content the presentation is not recommended for children under 12.
