For the first time in a decade the number of Grand Forks Students who say they are using drugs and alcohol is up.
In a survey done every two years of seventh through 12th graders shows a slight increase in alcohol, tobacco and marijuana use. Because the numbers are up slightly from one to four percent it hasn't alarmed school officials however they say it is something they will keep their eyes on. Prescription drug use has increased among students in grades six to nine slightly and dropped among tenth through 12th graders.
