The University of North Dakota is getting top marks for helping improve its employees health. Today the American Heart Association presented UND the Platinum-Level Fit-Friendly Work sites award for helping employees eat better and move more.

The award is given for meeting criteria in the areas of physical activity, nutrition and the number of employees that take part in wellness programs. One such effort is indoor walking paths through the school's parking ramp stairwells and skywalks. UND is the only entity in the state to receive platinum status.
