UMC is celebrating National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week with activities about having fun without alcohol, education and understanding about the consequences. Sargeant Jesse Grabow visited UMC with a smashed up squad car and fatal vision goggles for students to try out. Grabow's partner was hit by a drunk driver a couple of years ago and although both survived the car was severely damaged. The drunk driver was charged with criminal vehicular injury. Now Grabow shows the car to students as a sobering reality of what can happen when you drink and drive.
