North Dakota Independent Gubernatorial Candidate Roland Riemers has sent a letter to the state complaining he was unfairly kept from taking part in a candidate forum.

The event was put on yesterday by the American Association of University Women and Professional Women at Lake Region State College in Devils Lake. Riemers says when he arrived he was told by the moderator that the forum was strictly for major party candidates and that he could only hand out literature at the front door. Secretary of State Al Jaeger who read the complaint says groups that hold such forums have the right to invite who they want even if it is held on a public campus.
