US Senate candidate Heidi Heitkamp is traveling through North Dakota to outline her proposals of how to cut spending in Washington.
Heitkamp made a stop in Fargo this afternoon and will stop in Grand Forks tomorrow for her Balance the Budget tour. She says she's not willing to touch social security or Medicare. Instead she'd focus on getting people back to work and cracking down on Medicare fraud. She also said the $16 trillion debt will cripple the next generation if something isn't done. Heitkamp also reiterated her position that she'll refuse pay raises in Washington, something she said her opponent Rick Berg has not done.
