Lake Region State College in Search of New President

The search is underway for a new Lake Region State College president. A committee was announced last week to initiate the search.

The search is underway for a new Lake Region State College president. A committee was announced last week to initiate the search.

It's led by Dr. James McCormick, the former Chancellor of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System. President Mike Bower left the school this summer to become president of a school in Ohio. Vice President Doug Darling has taken over on an interim basis. Shirvani says finding a permanent replacement takes time. The committee will search nationwide for candidates. Three will be invited to interview before the board of education makes a final decision.
