New Minnewaukan Town Site Work Begins

After years of battling rising lake levels residents in Minnewaukan will soon have permanent flood relief. Work is underway on a new town site so homeowners can move their homes out of harms way.

After years of battling rising lake levels residents in Minnewaukan will soon have permanent flood relief. Work is underway on a new town site so homeowners can move their homes out of harms way.

This project was a long time coming and city leaders say it's exciting the new town site is starting to take shape. The new town site is expected to be ready for homes by next summer. Ten homeowners have agreed to move their homes as of now but there will be room for about ten more homes once construction is completed.
