The University of North Dakota has a unique speaker teaching students about human rights and justice issues connected with the Syrian war.

Ben Brockman-Hawe is an attorney who has worked with the Special Tribunal for Lebanon created for trying the killers of the former prime minister. Brockman-Hawe has been at the University all week holding roundtable discussions about human rights, history and giving students and faculty the chance to talk about it. Each year the UND Center for Human Rights and Genocide Studies invites a different speaker to campus. Organizers say it's a great learning experience for everyone involved.
