Devils Lake Outlets to Be Shut Down
The flood diversion outlets on the west and east ends of Devils Lake are being shut down for the year. State officials say with much colder temperatures expected next week they don't want to take any chances with the weather damaging equipment.By: WDAZ Staff Report, WDAZ

The flood diversion outlets on the west and east ends of Devils Lake are being shut down for the year. State officials say with much colder temperatures expected next week they don't want to take any chances with the weather damaging equipment.
The two outlets took about a foot of water off the lake this year. The west-end outlet started operating for the season in April and the new east-end outlet not until June. It had to be shut down for a few days last month for repairs.
