The new Altru facility in Devils Lake a training ground for new physicians. Family practice doctors have started coming from the Grand Forks clinic to Devils Lake to train for a month at a time.
The visiting doctors are completing their third and final year of residency before striking out on their own. One doctor says coming to Devils Lake gives him experience he wouldn't get in Grand Forks. There will be five more residents visiting the clinic in the coming months.
