Today, you can buy a bowl of soup and help feed the hungry at the annual Grand Forks Empty Bowl Project.
There are ceramic bowls hand-painted by local artists and others in the community at the St. Michael's school gym and they are sold for $15. While you’re there you can fill them up with a variety of donated soups. All proceeds will benefit the St. Joseph's Food Pantry and the free summer lunch for youth program. The event is expected to raise about $30,000 and it goes on until 7:00 tonight.
