DNR officials report more than 100 wolves have been killed during Minnesota's first managed wolf hunt.
109 wolves have been taken in the first eight days of the hunt, which includes 47 in the northeast hunting zone. The seasonal quota for that zone is 58 wolves. The statewide quota is 200 wolves for the early hunting season which ends November 18th or when the quota is reached. A second wolf hunting season, along with a trapping season, will begin November 24th and continue through January 31st. That harvest will also be capped at 200 wolves.
