Hallock Elevator Heavily Damaged in Monday Fire

Dozens of volunteers from seven fire departments battled an elevator fire in Hallock for more than four hours on Monday.
A Minnesota fire marshal will be in Hallock on Wednesday to investigate the cause of the fire which heavily damaged the co-op elevator. According to the Kittson County Sheriff's Department the fire was brought under control by about 3 pm. Fire departments from Lancaster, Lake Bronson and Karlstad, as well as Pembina were called in to assist, along with a ladder truck from East Grand Forks.
