Devils Lake Students Urge Peers that Now is the Time to Quit Smoking
Students in Devils Lake are encouraging their friends and loved ones who smoke to put out their cigarettes, if only for one day. They hope tomorrow's "Great American Smokeout" will convince some to ditch the habit for good.By: Adam Ladwig, WDAZ
Students in Devils Lake are encouraging their friends and loved ones who smoke to put out their cigarettes, if only for one day. They hope tomorrow's "Great American Smokeout" will convince some to ditch the habit for good.
Devils Lake High School students spent today spreading the message to their peers that now is the right time to try to give up smoking. The group tells smokers to keep trying to quit, even if they start smoking again after tomorrow's smokeout. They add that it can take six to eight tries to successfully quit.
