Commission Meets, Agrees Grand Forks Needs More Low Income Housing

A snapshot from a strategy group shows that need is especially prevalent for young adults. The main focus of the Blue Ribbon Commission meeting tonight was to identify what committee members would like to see happen around town in the next few years. Talks of downtown growth, city involvement and even a pilot project steered discussion. A need for more planned unit developments was also discussed, as well as possibly doing a pilot project to see if maybe the system needs to be changed for future builders. Melanie Orlins has more.
