A woman and her three grandchildren are dead after a shooting yesterday in New Town, North Dakota on the Fort Berthold Reservation.

A woman and her three grandchildren are dead after a shooting yesterday in New Town, North Dakota on the Fort Berthold Reservation.

The FBI is investigating the shooting and trying to determine if those deaths are related to a fifth death. Just hours later a New Town man in his 20s killed himself with a knife in Parshall, 20 miles from the shooting. Authorities say 64-year-old Martha Johnson and her three grandchildren Benjamin, Julia and Luke Schuster were gunned down in Johnson's home while her husband was out hunting. The children's 12-year-old brother was also in the home but wasn't hurt. He called 911. Authorities say investigators were questioning the fifth victim about the New Town shooting when he committed suicide. The shooting prompted the public school in New Town to call off classes. Authorities do not believe there is any threat to the public.
