Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Monday at the intersection of Washington Street and 40th Avenue South in Grand Forks.
Sarah Poellot, Grand Forks, Alicia Almanza, Hatton, N.D., and Nativadad Almanza were taken by ambulance to Altru Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to police.
The accident occurred when Poellot, 23, attempted to turn east on 40th Avenue South from Washington Street. Her 1998 Buick sedan was struck by a 1999 Dodge Durango driven by Alicia Almanza, 45. Riding in the vehicle with Alicia Almanza was Nativadad Almanza, 71.
Poellot was cited for failure to yield. Police diverted traffic for about 30 minutes while both cars were towed from the scene.
