More good news for North Dakota's economy, and this time it comes from our end of the state. Today in Valley City, North Dakota Governor Jack Dalrymple joined John Deere in breaking ground on a $20 million expansion of its manufacturing plant.

It is part of the world-wide increase in customer demand for Deere equipment and machinery and it's expected the 100,000 square foot addition could bring another 100 jobs to Barnes County and Valley City. Right now the plant employs 350 people who work on producing tillage and air seeding equipment. John Deere in Valley City exports products to 23 countries around the world.
