East Grand Forks Talk Taxes in 2013 Budget Meeting

Taxes will be going up in East Grand Forks, the question is how much? Council members met this evening to have final discussions on the 2013 budget.

Taxes will be going up in East Grand Forks, the question is how much? Council members met this evening to have final discussions on the 2013 budget.

City Administrator Scott Huizenga suggested the council only raise the levy by three percent or less, but that could change.

From the city's swimming pool to joining dispatch forces with Polk County, there's a lot that could potentially impact the budget and taxpayers' wallets. The council will take a final vote on the 2013 budget next week, and we'll continue to follow this story.
