The richest Powerball jackpot ever and the second largest top prize in US lottery history has been won. The question now becomes: Who are the lucky winners waking up to new lives as multimillionaires?
The two grand-prize-winning Powerball tickets worth a record $587.5 million were sold in Arizona and Missouri, but seven tickets sold in our neck of the woods qualified as nice consolation prizes. A million dollar ticket was sold in Minnesota, matching all five numbers but not the Powerball. Six other tickets in the state matched four numbers, each worth $10,000.
