Fugitive Captured in Bismarck

Police in Bismarck arrested a fugitive Wednesday wanted in connection with a kidnapping of a female at gunpoint in Idaho.

Today at around noon police were called to the Oasis Truck Stop. A man from Solen, ND was returning to his vehicle and found 57-year-old Mitchell Lee Walck sitting in his truck. Walck threatened him with a handgun and then fled on foot into a nearby mobile home park. He was taken into custody without incident. He had a 9mm handgun in his waistband at the time of his arrest.

In addition to being arrested for the Idaho warrant, Walck was arrested for unlawful entry to a motor vehicle, terrorizing and felon in possession of a firearm. Walck is being held at the Burleigh County Detention Center.
