Local Group Proposes Red River Boathouse

The Grand Forks Park District plans to look into the possibility of building a Red River boat house. A local nonprofit that encourages non-motorized uses of rivers presented the idea this week but not all Park Board Members are convinced.
Ground Up Adventures is asking for roughly $50,000 from the park district as an initial investment. Tourist attractions and recreational entertainment have the Park District interested, but liability is holding them back. Melanie Orlins has more.
