The Crookston city council has decided not to take money out of its flood fund to use for the salary of its community development director.

The council was looking for ways to make up for lost state funding and was considering taking $90,000 dollars out of that fund.

That wasn't sitting well with some people...especially those living in neighborhoods where flood projects haven't yet been completed.

The council decided that money won't come out of the special services district, the position will be paid out of the general fund.
