Thieves played the role of the Grinch in a small church in rural Polk County.
The sheriff's department is investigating a burglary at the Melo Lutheran Church where several sculptures, sunday school money and even the Christmas tree were stolen.
The polk county sheriff's department says the church was burglarized last friday morning. It's estimated about $1,200 worth of items where taken, but a member of the church says the sentimental value for some things is priceless. David Schwab has more.
