The debate over Pete Haga's controversial salary raise continued tonight at a Finance meeting. Some city employees are eligible for a "pay for performance" adjustment in 2013. Whether Haga should be included after he received a hefty boost this year has some council members fuming again.

As of right now there is a hold on longevity pay for city employees in 2013 until the council receives the consultant report explaining why the city should continue it. The worry now is that Haga will receive another raise after he was given almost $26,000 this year. Next Monday the council will vote on whether Haga is eligible for that 2013 raise and as of this evening the freeze has been lifted from all 2013 department head salaries.
