A Warroad man who led police on a high speed chase on I-29 remains in jail tonight on multiple charges, including three felonies.

His girlfriend says he threatened to kill her on the drive from Warroad to Grand Forks on Sunday evening. 44-year old Scott Allen Boothman allegedly made his girlfriend and her young daughter stand outside in sub-zero temperatures along I-29, then led officers on a high-speed chase with the woman and child in the car. The Walsh County Sheriff says the woman had red marks around her neck when police found her. Boothman is being held in the Walsh County jail on $50,000 bail.
