Local leaders talked property tax relief and a Grand Forks housing crunch tonight at a pre-session legislative forum.
Leaders from the city, county, schools, parks and the airport all expressed the importance of their legislative priorities for the next session. And it's not just property tax relief leaders are discussing. Many believe renters and even income relief will take some weight off resident's shoulders and also better other city entities. The city is also addressing water issues and transportation and the Airport Authority noted an increase in traffic at GFK as well. Melanie Orlins has more.
