A new program is helping students "text-a-tip" about crime in and around schools in Grand forks County.
Text-a-tip is a way for students and parents to report several things such as drug use or traffic violations anonymously. The program has already proved useful in several different situations. Just a couple weeks ago, the department got a tip about students using drugs and they were later arrested. Families can text-a-tip 24 hours a day in Grand Forks, the number is 701-317-5678.
