Locked-out union workers will have an even brighter holiday season after a food and toy drive. Two busloads of food, toys and toiletries are being delivered up and down the red river valley today.

It's been more than 16 months since the lockout began, so this is the second Christmas some of those families have been struggling. Today workers and volunteers unloaded hundreds of toys and food items they have been collecting since November. Boxes are also being delivered to union offices in Crookston, Drayton, Hillsboro and Moorhead, as well as Mason City, Iowa. Organizers say this is just one way they can help families with the expense of the holiday season. Workers can come and pick up whatever they need from their local union office this week.
