City Leaders Begin Planning South End Expansion

City planners and engineers have their hands full planning a new neighborhood in the south end of Grand Forks.

City planners and engineers have their hands full planning a new neighborhood in the south end of Grand Forks.

Discussions brewed but no action was taken tonight at a Planning and Zoning meeting at City Hall. A very preliminary draft was introduced to get everyone on the same page for the nearly 300 acre development in the south end of town. Leaders say this will be the most significant development in the city of Grand Forks history sans the Columbia Mall. Melanie Orlins has more.
