Minnesota's first wolf hunting season closes today after nearly reaching the limit of 400 animals killed.

As of yesterday afternoon hunters had registered 395 wolves, which is why the State is closing the season. The only zone open today is the Northwest zone where they are just six short of the target harvest of 187 wolves. DNR officials say it was a good season.
