A Belcourt man will spend close to five years in prison for involuntary manslaughter. 30-year-old Koleman Gourneau was sentenced Monday.
Gourneau was driving his vehicle while intoxicated on the Turtle Mountain Reservation in 2011 when he struck and killed 56-year-old "Sue Buck" Boyer who was walking home. Gourneau's sentence marks the end of a 15 month ordeal for the family. It started in October of 2011 when a search began for the person responsible in the hit and run death of "Sue Buck" Boyer.
