BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - The University of North Dakota says it's
dropping the "AgCam" name from its space camera.
A North Dakota company called Dakota Micro has trademarked the
"AgCam" name for its own camera system, which is used on farms.
Dakota Micro marketing director Charissa Rubey says people often
get her company's AgCam confused with the UND camera.
She says that's a problem because the UND camera hasn't worked
since it was installed on the International Space Station in
November 2008.
In a statement on Tuesday, the university said it will change
the name of its space camera.
It was developed by UND students and faculty, and it's designed
to keep track of the health of crops, pasture land, forests and
vegetation.
