A Warroad, Minnesota man says he is guilty of ordering his girlfriend and her six-year-old daughter out into the cold last month near Grafton.

44-year old Scott Boothman pleaded guilty to DUI with a minor in the car and endangerment. Boothman's girlfriend says he threatened to kill her on the drive from Warroad to Grand Forks on December 9th. Then he led officers on a high speed chase on I-29, reaching an estimated 100 miles per hour with the woman and child in the car. Boothman's girlfriend called 911 saying she and her daughter were standing outside the vehicle. Temperatures at the time were 25 to 30 degrees below zero. Police say Boothman was driving under the influence at the time. Other charges were dropped.
