A mother who left four children in a hot car last summer was sentenced to a year in jail with all but 24 days stayed.
Bianca Jean Hazelrigg also must spend two years on probation and pay a $100 fine. Hazelrigg, who was 21 last June when she was arrested, was accused of leaving the children in a hot car while she shopped for swimwear inside the Target store in Bemidji. Last month, she pleaded guilty to a gross misdemeanor charge of child endangerment by putting a child in a situation that could cause harm or death.
