Manvel, ND (WDAY TV) -- A children's snowmobile racing club took advantage of the extra snow brought in from the blizzard.
KC West Pro racers were out in full force today, competing for trophies and bragging rights.
Chris Olson/Parent: "My son's out here racing."
KC Pro West racers and their parents don't let bitter temps get in the way of having some fun.
Alanna Olson/Parent: "If we have enough snow we go."
Dozens of kids ages 4 to 14 showed off their skills today in Manvel.
Jeanne Olson/Racer: "It's really fun, especially when you get a first place trophy and stuff like I did last weekend."
Parents seem to enjoy the day just as much as the racers.
Alanna: "I can't even describe it I get so excited."
Todd Nelson/Parent: "It's a great youth event. It's a very good parent organization."
Chris: "My favorite part is just watching all the kids having fun."
And while there's plenty of fun to go around, come race time these kids put their game faces on.
Jeanne: "We're friends off the track, but when we get on the track...I can't say we're really that big of friends then."
Alanna: "I think there's a lot of competition. They all hang out in each other's trailers and walk around with each other and when they get to the line they're just racers."
Todd Nelson: "They enjoy racing.
Chris: "He gets pretty excited, he likes doing the victory lap with the checkered flag."
Jeanne: "My favorite part is coming and racing with friends, and beating friends."
