East Grand Forks leaders are getting a push from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency to make a decision on its aging waste water treatment system.

The city council discussed its options tonight at a work session meeting. The pollution control agency hasn't set any strict timeline for the city to act but it has asked for progress reports from council meetings going forward and leakage testing on the city sewage lagoon and the cost of the projects estimated at between $9 million to connect with Grand Forks and $13 million to redo the lagoons.
