Grand Forks city leaders approved changes to a water treatment pilot study this evening in an attempt to bring fresher drinking water to town, and although the project has a high price tag users wouldn't see a major fee hike.
Grand Forks city leaders approved changes to a water treatment pilot study this evening in an attempt to bring fresher drinking water to town, and although the project has a high price tag users wouldn't see a major fee hike.
The project tests three possible scenarios. But it's the hybrid option, combining both conventional and membrane treatment, that the public works department is favoring. A timeline for this project would range from roughly 3 to 5 years. Melanie Orlins has more.
