Despite freezing temps and even colder wind chills, some people ventured outside today in the Lake Region.

Mmany people got the holiday off today and some of them weren't going to let a a 40 below wind chill keep them from enjoying their time away from work. The whipping wind didn't keep people off of Devils Lake today. Anglers used ice houses to stay relatively warm. They say the fish weren't biting too much, but it's still better than being cooped up inside.

Although they say if it gets any colder the fish might have to wait. There were about 10 anglers braving the elements today on the lake, which fishermen say is actually more than an average weekday.
