Today (Monday) governor Jack Dalrymple signs into law a bill that will improve highways and roads across the state. Senate Bill 2176 makes $720 million immediately available for improvements to state highways and roads.

Many infrastructure improvements are needed in the western part of the state. The money will cover construction along highway 85 between Watford City and Williston. This spring construction will start to turn portions of highway 85 into a four-lane highway. Governor Jack Dalrymple says the bill will give the state the ability to work on approximately 1,400 miles of highway across the state during the upcoming biennium.
