FARGO, N.D. (AP) - A 92-year-old man being transported from
Jamestown to Fargo when the ambulance he was in rolled on icy
Interstate 94 has died, though authorities have not said whether
the crash was a factor.
Albert Geiszler of Jamestown was being transported to MeritCare
Hospital on Monday when the ambulance rolled. The Highway Patrol
says he died Thursday.
Ambulance service officials said earlier that Geiszler was being
treated at Meritcare for injuries unrelated to the crash.
The two ambulance workers in the vehicle when it rolled were
treated for minor injuries after the crash.
The ambulance was destroyed. Jamestown Ambulance says it will
borrow a vehicle from the ambulance service in Fergus Falls, Minn.,
until it can be replaced.
