Grafton Spoiler coach Laurie Sieben has been coaching Cassie Thompson for five years and has seen her grow everyday.

Sieben, "Cassie's just a real joy to coach and a real joy to see on the floor with her teamates. I think her greatest aspect is that she just makes herself a great teamate each day."

Thompson is seeing some new teamates on the floor this season. The Spoilers graduated four starters from last years North Dakota Class B state championship team-but the goal remains the same.

Cassie Thompson, Grafton senior, "Winning it is awesome. It's the same dream, we just need to keep on building what we had last year."

Number 22 is the lone starter back from that championship team and has taken it upon herself to make this team just as memorable.

She has upped her numbers to 25 points and 12 rebounds per game putting the Spoilers in position to do what they did last year.

Brooke Feltman, Grafton senior, “Of course our goal is to get back to the state tournament and repeat. We just focus on improving every single day."

Sieben, "We're hoping to take that experience from those that were involved in last years team into this season. It was just a matter of going into this season and girls stepping into new roles."

Those roles have been filled. Grafton is 12-2 and ranked in the seventh in the state and they know they have a target on their back.

Sieben, "We're approaching it as hey we have to be ready. We've got to be ready and we have to battle right back with them."
