People up and down the valley started off their week by digging out. The blizzard dumped up to 20 inches on snow in some places. Most of the heaviest snows were in the Wahpeton and Fergus Falls area.

While Grand Forks didn't get nearly as much snow as places to the south, there is still plenty to shovel. Grand Forks received 4.8 inches, enough to break a record for the date and get few people stuck. City crews started cleaning streets at midnight and had most cleared by late afternoon. They will get to the bike trails and other areas in the next few days. Also the decision was made to cancel school in Grand Forks this morning, a rare but necessary move, according to the district.

Fargo also broke a snowfall record of 9.3 inches while Rothsay, Minnesota received 21 inches of snow.
