An East Grand Forks man is in jail after police say he stole about $27,000 from an ATM over several months.
23 year Jesse Azure was arrested by Grand Forks Police after they were called to investigate the missing money.
He is charged with class B felony theft.
Grand Forks Police were called to the Super Pumper on 32nd Avenue last night after the regional supervisor noticed money missing from the store owned ATM machine.
Police say Azure worked at the store and had access to the machine.
Police say because the ATM is owned by the business, Azure won't face federal charges.
Rahn Farder: "The ATM is owned by the business and there's different rules and procedures that go with that than there would normally be with a bank owned ATM."
Azure made his first appearance in court today and bond was set at 5-thousand dollars.
