Park River Couple Weds Atop Grain Elevator

A Park River couple tied the knot in a very unusual location Wednesday afternoon -- the top of a grain elevator.

A Park River couple tied the knot in a very unusual location Wednesday afternoon -- the top of a grain elevator.

Jimmy and Ellen Griggs said 'I do' more than 100 feet above ground, luckily on a very warm February day. It was quite the wedding, just riding the elevator up was an adventure in itself. Why a grain elevator, you ask? And why in the middle of winter? Well for the newly married Griggs' it was the perfect time because February 13th was the wedding day of Jimmy Griggs' parents. As far as the place? Jimmy helped build the elevator where the wedding took place.
